... on the mountain tops every now and then (be careful not to drop your camera). We halted at a point before we reached the top to click a few pictures. It takes exactly 1 hour 30 minutes to reach the highest point 7090ft above sea level where the highest tea plantations in the world are grown. Unfortunately I couldn’t pay a visit to the tea factory as it was the day the laborers got their salary and they were given an early day off. It’s a little weird because ...

... in a minor accident, but would be unable to drive to Munnar that night. He was going to be staying in a hospital about 30 – 40km away. Honestly Lauren and I had both worried about Robert on a scooter, heading up into the mountains at night. I can see Elmi doing it, but Robert strikes us as a little less confident on a bike. And those mountain roads are dangerous as hell as has now been amply demonstrated. We will have more details about the accident tomorrow. Stay ...

... what their actual name is) and a huge bee hive resting ominously on a sheer cliff face. Summitting at the top, we descended through the Eravikulam National Park which is famous for its rare species of goats called Nilgiri Thar. The vegetation here is mostly Sandal Wood tree jungles. We spent the night in a cute hotel in Marayoor town.
Having carried our own bags on our back and struggled the majority of the day, to be honest finishing almost in tears, we met ...
