... I put this down as a must see place... Next day we took the bus back down to the coast to Allepay where me and Lauren would part ways and I take an overnight bus to Wayanad and Lauren down south for her flight on 15th.. The more attentive of you might now be wondering what happened to visiting Madurai.... Well, I'll leave that til start of next post but rest assured I am still going but had to take this slight detour ...

Decent real coffee is hard to find at Valparai even though there are a couple of coffee estates there. All you will get at bakeries and messes are horrible instant Bru, Sunrise and the like. Better to stick to TEA.

... we decided to venture further out to the nearest tea plantation. After restocking on water and some biscuits at the local stall off we walked this time on the main road. The mid day sun was beating down on us as we walked past open fields. A local man grinned at us with a big smile as we asked the way to the Lekshmi estate. Far away he said and really hot.
