The hostels were all new on this trip. It was more difficult finding reasonable accommodations that didn't have bad reviews. We made good choices. I liked the hostels in Rome and Florence. The hostel in Kreuzlingen was also a good choice, but was a little too far away from restaurants and bars.

How perfect was it to get beautiful surroundings, delightful people, intellectual stimulation and lots of exercise in one place. We have always loved "learning vacations", and this one was the best! I'm dying to go back. I want to be one of those ladies I met who said they'd been coming to Chautauqua for 30 years.
