Christmas with my family

... out into the States and head south as fast as I can to get into the warmer areas where I can camp out in the back of my truck.

I have a 2 week solitary meditation retreat planned mid-January to start the journey off in a good way. I will meander around Texas and New Mexico on my way to the Grand Canyon before the retreat. So busy a mind. It will take some time to get used to slowing down my pace and moving into stillness.

... in the world but the hardest person to shop for and she dislikes shopping herself.  Thus we took her shopping to get things she needed, despite her claiming she didn't need anything.  After two new pairs of pants, a new sweater, a new purse and a new wallet, we successfully had gotten her things for her birthday.  After a lazy afternoon, we then took her to her favourite restaurant for dinner, Boston Pizza.  Happy Birthday ...
