3 River Drive at Palm Ave. Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
... to Brisbane. Really wish we got to spend a night here. Such a pretty town, seemed pretty big though. Had an hour and half, which included the opal demonstration. I'm not a huge fan of opals so went for the free food then found a park with some girls and we just sat there and ate some ice cream. It was such a nice day. Had to be around 28, I wish our winters where like that. Sadily had to get back on bus and headed on to the Gold Coast.

... mind. They then invited me to do the Tornado with them, its a ride i had just done and loved it but went on again as you can take 4 people and boy were we heavy as a group. The Tornado is a funnel, you shoot down a tube then sort of half spin round the funnel - we totally nailed the ride and it was pretty intense, I screamed like a kid!! I did the whole park, piggybacking off of odd families and lovers heheh. My last ride was the Mach 5 ...
Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia clairebr... route for the rest of the journey. It was all pretty smooth except for a nasty traffic jam just outside Surfers Paradise due to fact they are converting the streets into a race track in preparation for the Indy Car Races. The next couple of hours were lost to finding a place to park for the night that would'nt cost us anything i.e. near a beach or a quiet car park. This proved pretty difficult as there were signs everywhere that warned of heavy fines for any such activity ...
Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia katieandphill... you eat dinner and have the Sex Pistols blaring.
NICE!
After dinner we hit the markets on the beach. Nice to look at
but no buying for me. Everything is thought of in terms of how heavy
will that make my pack? I did however fork out $3 to look into a giant
telescope and see Jupiter and 4 of it's moons. Woot Woot! If I'd had
$20 i probably would have paid the nice man at the stall with the big
snake (minds out ot the gutter please). the $20 is for a ...
... arrived very late into Coffs Harbour, which is a cute, quiet beach town famous for its "Big Banana" which apparently started the craze of large objects in Australia. In case you weren't aware, Australia has a sort of fetish for "large objects". What makes a large object large? It has to be twice the true objects size, and twice the size of a human. Also accessible to public. I got that from the map of large objects. Yes, it exists. ANYWAYS. On ...
Surfers Paradise, Australia decemberchick... New Zealand originally, he was telling us some places to go and things to see and do when we get there. We went for a walk along the beach front, it is a lovely little place here with nice restaurants and the beach is huge and gorgeous, even in the rain. We have found out that the theme park, Dreamworld is about a 45 minute to one hour drive from here. So, the next morning we were up and I made us a packed lunch to take with us. I walked down to the tourist agency before we ...
Tweed Heads, Australia deankezontour... was still a few weeks away, which meant I had a couple of weeks living like a pauper on rice and bread. Two weeks before opening we started training in luxury standards and our procedures and also took on heaps of beer, wine, spirit and champagne tastings. I learnt so much during this time plus I alsways went home with a litlle glow on. We had a massive V.I.P. opening and I even had to endure pre-event make up beofre opening to the general public ...
Gold Coast, Australia jag... the skyscrapers lining the streets gave it a big city vibe. The town had no caravan park that I could find so having strolled around for a while and got some grub, I headed to South Port which which was just up the road and checked into a park there for the night. Didn't get up to much that night. Just had a quiet one and prepared to head on to Byron Bay the next day.
QUEENSLAND, Australia boxedoff.com... turned out to be quite the mess, ending up with K and I befriending all sorts of Irish, Kiwi and French guys. I don't remember much, but I do remember thinking it was too early to leave the pub at 5am. Being extremely hungover the next day, I slept through valuable beach time and didn't make it down there til about 2. I couldn't believe how warm the water is! I decided to forget my fears about sharks in Australia and go for a swim - it was so beautiful - definitely kicks the Atlantic's ...
Brisbane, Australia phillypheet... when they beat Japan the other night. I'm getting hold of a Brazil shirt for the next game and will be roaring on the boys because theres no way I can take the cocky t**ts getting through to the next round. I almost cried the other day when I picked up a copy of the Australian version of Zoo magazine and saw the lovely Keeley(page 3 stunner) decked out in a bloody Aussie kit. To say I was ****** off would be a bit of an understatement it was one of the worst days of my life.
