We've been in Canada for just over a week now, and so far so good…kind of. The fierce little nighthawks have returned from their migration and are feeding in the exact location they have been for the past 30+ years. ... is it slow!

We did do a bike ride during the morning and made it into town and up the hill to Tim Hortons and had a bagel and coffee for lunch. Our Costco bikes have passed their first test! Our original bikes were stolen in San Diego in 2012 and we hadn’t replaced them. This time we are traveling without a car in tow and felt we should have bikes for local travel along the way. We ...

... outer edge of town, I found a Walmart and once again Maura was in the right place at the right time. She was sitting in the CRV in the parking lot. We loaded up on zinc oxide products and more Gatorade.
I peddled off, covered in white sunblock, still with the hopes that I could knock out another 45 miles.

By noon, the sun was sizzling and unrelenting headwinds tried ...
