... Climbed several mountains on my way from SLC to Wells: 5,910, 6960, 6114, and 5118 feet.

I arrived in Reno on July 3 to visit with the grand girls for several days.

July 7 - Overnight to Kings Beach on Lake Tahoe with grand girls, Bernadette, and B's mom.

July 9 -- Travel from Reno to Sacramento, CA, over Donner Summit (7239). It's all downhill from there.

A Long Day- Reno At Last

... River has cut. A great many gentle twist and turns later the Reno/Sparks metropolis emerges.

Interstate 80 just barely skirts the downtowns of the twin cities. We continue on 11 miles to Gold Ranch Casino and RV Park. The park looked like a good place to spend a few days on the internet and does not disappoint now that we are here.

All of us are tired after the long 351 mile drive so tonight we will just relax, watch a little boob tube, then turn in.

... a local Reno institution. Downtown Reno is centered on the Truckee river. There are walks on both sides with lots of parks interspersed between bars and cafes. Being a nice May day, there were lots of people walking the river front, with dogs kids and strollers in tow.
