It seems in 1910 Dutch sailors had heard of the dragons ( remember...the Dutch were the explorers and colonizers in Indonesia). ... these few days of rest, as I know I will be in full backpacker mode soon with my Intrepid Tour fast approaching. I am excited for my Intrepid Tour but I have not been a backpacker for many years and I am not so keen on the prospect of early morning wake ups and long travel days. One day late and one friend less, we were voluntarily engulfed by a metallic box with airborne qualities and soon spat out in Jakarta. I then got my only glimpse of Jakarta from the taxi window, which seemed to take the appearance of every other metropolis in the world. At Gambir station, Mary, Hannah and I booked our train tickets to Jogjakarta, in ...
