... place we went to was more geared around learning to ride then just being a camel riding factory, seeing the way they treated the animals when we arrived and discovering they only had 4 camels that appeared to be well looked after I was glad we chose this place, it was a bit out of the city but was so worth it.

Before we started the ride our guide Tony showed us some of the anatomical features the camels had evolved for surviving the desert and taught us some random ...

Another morning spent at the gym and then back and got food. To break up my day in the afternoon i walked all around JLT and over to the marina and all around that and back. Was a 12km walk and took about an hour and a half. Dad needed some food shooping so we went to Geant at Ibn Batutta. ... more planned to be built everywhere. Abu Dhabi has the giant Mosque, Ferrari world and a few more developments happening on their man made islands. It is a real competition between the Sheiks who comes up with what first. We had a lovely time chatting on the trip down as it takes 1 1/2 hrs drive at 120km/hr for 160 kms, the state speed limit. 5-6 lane highways dead straight and smooth. So very different to Africa. After leaving the Dubai area it's ...

... joking with me. In fact my small fears that Dubai was going to be one of the more difficult places for a solo female was quickly vanished. Everyone was so helpful and talkative. This place is amazing. I took a taxi and was brought to my hotel. I needed a little bit of a break. Although it's not the hottest place I've been, India still takes that trophy, it is definitely one of the most humid. I found only a couple minutes of being outside and my clothes would have sweat gathering ...
