Very knowledgable fellow from Pakistan who came to Dubai to earn more money, his English was very good considering he has only been here 9yrs learning it from books. We have arrived in Dubai when it is the Holy season of Ramadan which means we cannot eat or drink in public until after 7.30pm. He showed us the New & Old parts of Dubai, the new area has ...

There's plenty of adventure activities to do such as sky diving, 4WD desert rambling, diving, boating etc. You can even go snow skiing in the world's largest indoor ski slope. Weird, considering it was close to 40 degrees. Next stop, ...

... restaurants were closed. In Stone town there is a mix of Indian and Arabic architecture, and some beautiful new and old carved doors and surrounds.

The old town is a jumble of narrow streets with coral stone buildings, and it was easy to get lost in the maze. Zanzibar used to be the centre of the slave trade for Eastern Africa, and natives were brought from as far away as the Congo. Only the fittest survived ...
