    ... from the hotel in Martin Place. Had no idea until we saw it on the news. Short rest and then leave at 4.15 for our walk to Darling Harbour and King Street Wharf for our 2 course dinner cruise with Captain Cook cruises. I succeed in taking us there without a hitch!     ... back to Port Douglas stopping by Thornton beach to take in another stunning horizon and beach. It had been raining and there was a distant shimmer of a rainbow far away over the horizon.     ... bliss. Needless to say we left the camera in the room so no pics today I'm afraid.

    Going out for a few drinks and a nice meal tonight to say goodbye to Sydney and though this is a beautiful city with some stunning views, we both agree that Melbourne's won the battle of the cities. Everyone we speak to tends to have a favourite some say it depends which you do first for us Melbourne just feels friendlier and more European.
