The Cathedral was very interesting. In one of the side chapels there was a huge, silver monstrance. It is used during the Holy Week parades. It requires 12 men to carry it. We noticed a staircase going beneath the Presbytery. The gate was open so we went down the stairs. We found ourselves standing in the crypt. ... We stopped in at a crowded restaurant in the main square called Tio Pepe. We all had the menu of the day, which was paella and beef cooked in sherry. Both were delicious except I didn't make the kids eat the seafood. Unless you know us and how we spend our summers you would 1) never understand and 2) probably never believe my fishing stories anyway. I found the clams a bit on the strong side.

Day 7 – Sunday Sept 25 Cadiz and Seville
Sunday is a difficult day to travel in Spain as most shuts down. But the Shims and us decided to head to Seville since most of Cadiz was closed and it is quite a small place. We were able to find a cab driver and accepted his price of Euro280 for the 6 of us in his minivan taxi. This is quite good since it would only take about an hour to travel each way compared with 2hours for the train, at a cost of about Euro35 ...

... some of us walked into the downtown/historic area of Cádiz. We passed by a Roman Theater and a cathedral, but both were closed since it was siesta time (siesta time is awesome except when you want to go somewhere). We got a late lunch together which included the most delicious flan that I´ve ever had. On the bus back to Sevilla Sidra and I met a Portuguese guy and a French guy who were studying at the University of Seville. ...
