      ... had one other ship in port with us – Crystal Symphony – much smaller at about 60,000tonnes compared to our 115,000 tonnes.

      Our worry was whether Helen could cope with the pitching of the tender alongside and if it had been a rough day, we would not have been able to go ashore. But fortunately, it was relatively calm and with the help of the crewmen at the gangway, we pretty much lifted her over the gap and into the tender.

      ... escalated ... We ended up in the sea. When we got bored there we decided to trespass and go swimming (well paddle for me) in a private pool at someone's house on the beach front. Their own fault I suppose for having a tiny wall which we could climb over ...

      ... palms that the employees were giving them. We went on a very quick elephant trek with our guide getting off to take photos every now and then. The elephants were so adorable, they were slowly plodding along, stopping every now and then to eat some foliage from the forest. In hindsight I wouldn't do this again as I much prefer to see elephants in the wild and I wasn't entirely convinced the elephants were happy, they weren't mistreated, but it gives me a ...

      Never a dull moment here, weather is superb and the water problem is ongoing, it just hasn,t rained and as good as that is for us the island needs water.
      The funny thing is even though you would imagine it to be dangerous to light fires, that is just what the locals do. The owner of the bungalows where we are staying decided to clear up the fallen leaves and branches and systematically piled everything around the bungalows and forest and set fire to it ! ...
