Koh Chang, Thailand chrisquared... wet with a face full of what feels like fresh plaster. Sense of humour slightly jaded. After three days of this, we'd had enough. To top off being soaked every ten yards, at one point there were a bunch of over excited Thai boys who weren't content with soaking us, they bloody groped the pair of us too! That's right - the pair of us! I got my bits fondled, and if that wasn't enough of a shock, once we'd escaped their grip, Katie told me that one of them was grabbing her ...
Ko Chang, Thailand katieandphill... stay here, rest," Lek commands me. The skinny man told Roger to get on the back of his motorbike and they rode away into the dust. Lek sat down beside me smoking a cigarette. He chatted about the political problems in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, shaking his head. "Vewwy bad for tourist!" I agreed. Who knew how it would affect the tourism once things got going again. So far there were only rudimentary plans to get tourists out (not in), some having to leave with little notice from ...
Koh Chang, Thailand humbuggy... for snorkelling not unless drowning was your mission! We lounged about on Coral beach with some friends we made, 3 Germans and an English guy. They had been on the island for 2 weeks already! It was definitely one of those islands where you visualise yourself staying just a couple of days but it ends up being much longer. The pace of beach life there suited us perfect. The only major decisions to take were which beach to sunbath on or ...
Kho Kood, Thailand timogmaria... myslef, Wayne and Sandra included). The 6 other people were made up of 3 oldish blokes all with Thai prostitutes. Neither of them knew each other. Anyway, one of the dudes was ****** up, absolutely mortal, and bearing in mind that this was 9 am, a little bit threatening (in that he was dressed like Rambo and covered in tatoos). Half way through the journey he decides it's a good idea to whip out his machette to impress his missus! Stunned ...
Trat, Trat, Thailand --frank--... I left the island. If memory serves me correctly, I think a red snapper dinner cost about 90 baht ($3.00 U.S.). All-in-all, Ko Chang was a great place. Just a very short walk down the beach were multiple bars and restaurants, as well as places to get a traditional Thai massage. Massages cost about 300 baht and lasted for 45 minutes. I personally didn't like the traditional Thai massage very well. It consisted of lots of stretching the limbs at awkward angles ...
Ko Chang, Thailand summitmonkeeDecember 2003 'Twas a few nights before Christmas and down at the beach, We were thinking old Santa was way out of reach For this is the land of the Buddha we thought Whoa.........heavens to Betsy, maybe its not From out of the east a cool wind did blow We started to think that it might even snow From ...
Ko Chang, Thailand jackdrury... found and which was only reachable by first taking a taxi and then a boat. We hoped that there would be no electricity there.<br><br>The bulk of the backpackers were cramped into two songthaews and taken down to the west coast, which has recently been renamed White Sand Beach. One English backpacker, eager to impress his friends, tried to bargain down the journey price from 30 baht (about 45 pence) to 20 and was told in no uncertain terms by the driver that if he thought it was too ...
