    I totally forgot to mention two really neat parts of our day yesterday. So, here they are with some neat pics too!

    First, during our walk along the city wall we found an exit with a long (and steep) path to the river valley below. From our B&B room we can see the cute village houses down there, so we figured we might as well check it out. For some reason we just keep choosing to walk up and down sleep hills and stairs!     ... of the conversation to really drag. We didn't let her get us down though because the building was really cool and I enjoyed an interesting cup of horseradish soup. And of course we each had a gluwein. When you have gluwein everything is okay! We eventually made her way home and passed out. Talking about the ER doc for the last two hours really took it out of us!

    This morning we woke up to the smell of rural Germany and realised that the building opposite our guesthouse was in fact a barn.
    We had over slept, so quickly got ready and went downstairs to enjoy a delicious Bavarian breakfast. Our hostess was lovely. We left with full bellies for a post breakfast walk around the town.
    It was a cool morning but so refreshing to be out exploring. The kids enjoyed seeing the farm animals, especially some very cute calves.

    ... bored while he was working, so she and the children would travel around whatever area they were in. She was delighted with Karen's story of boating from Key West to Sioux City.     ... hated the Eiffel Tower, but ate frequently at the restaurant, and when asked why he stated "because it is the only place from which I cannot see it". You would have to live in this place to not have to look at it. I couldn't even take a picture of it!
