... still refreshing but you could stay in it for as long as you wanted. The sun was shining , the music was pumping, the beers were tasting good and everyone was having a good time. Life is good in Turkey! After lunch everyone on the boat had a quick siesta before arriving to our next swim stop. We saw alot of fish that were vibrant in color, bright blue, and yellow. ... are kept in very good condition. For the city being thousands of years old and its buildings and most structures still standing is pretty amazing.
My favorite of the city was the Theater, where St.Paul preached to the people , it is the largest outdoor theater of the ancient world. It was carved out into flanks from Mount Pion . It took them over 60 years to carve, and it could hold up to 40,000 spectators ( which is more ...

... shirt on, he grabs my backpack and carries it up stairs. Dan and I look at each other to say 'he must work here?'. This guy did work there and never wore a shirt the whole time we were staying there. We check into our room and see the view of the town on their roof top, it looks really nice. We head straight down to the town, only a 2 min walk...great location! Lots of restaurants and cafes with their sun lounges & umbrellas lined across the beach. ...

    Absolutely superb!

    from TATTOO-JASON

Stayed all inclusive during june '05 with my wife and 2 kids (5&11). Hotel is spotlessly clean with maids cleaning everyday.Good food in restaurant as are the snacks available all day.All staff are very polite and helpful, especially Leonidas on reception. The Animation entertainment team pit on a great show evry night, and there is something for adults and kids alike. We had never been all inclusive before and were a little apprehensive, but the sovereign beach hotel was a good choice. Thankyou to all for making our holiday such a memorable one.

Not bad, good base for exploring

    from Original-Lass

I agree with other reviews that the hotel was more 3* rather than 4*. Food nice, but not a lot of choice. Snack bar only served pizza&chips and ham/cheese sandwiches if you got there early enough. Staff friendly enough, no complaints there, but we didn't really take part in the entertainment. We hired a car for 3 days and saw some other more lovely parts of the island, and Kardamena is quite central which is handy. Well worth it, because that meant that we chose to eat out during those days aswell. We have a 1 year old son and found it difficult to keep chasing him around because there are lots of steps around, both inside & outside of hotel. Kids club (First Choice Tweety Creche) was fab and all the kids club reps were lovely. He went there for 4 or 5 sessions (generally 1.5hrs each) and was a lifesaver for us. We also went on the Fantasia Greek Night excursion to Zia which we thought was really good value for money, our son had a great night dancing to the music and watching the dancers, and we had a pretty good night too! Best beach seems to be along Kefalos coast - Paradise Beach and associated beaches (some nearly deserted but still with parasols etc - lovely sand and sea to swim in). Nice island. But unless you are happy sitting by the beach/pool all day, every day, wouldn't choose to go back because we've seen it all now.

    The Geordie Entertainer

    from anonymous

Just had a fortnight here. Hotel lovely but could do with more more friendly staff to keep everyone happy. I thought the food was ok but my son didn't so did eat out on a few occasions. A big hello to the Entertainers, Jay, Erin and Donna. They made our holiday. I was beginning to think I was one by the end of the fortnight. FAB! George and Theo brill and a special hello to Armando and Leo - you can be my receptionists anyday. Not forgetting Stavos and young Armando, my son loved helping you both in the pool bar. Overall a good holiday and may visit again. Take care everyone.

    Great bar serivce ;)

    Not that bad!!!!

    from anonymous

My family and I stayed at the Sovereign Beach Hotel in June this year (2004). We found the staff quite friendly (not sure if this was because they were doing v well in the Euro 2004), but they always made time to have a friendly chat with you. The food was not 4*, make sure you get to the restaurant early or you are pretty much left with what looked like leftovers, but there was always a different choice each night. Thank goodness for the snack bar (burgers, hot dogs, pizza's etc) or my little one would not have eaten, and that went for most of the little children. They Reps were also very friendly and there were always activities for the children to participate in along with entertainment in the evening. Our room was very cramped, and although the cleaners came most days the most they really done was empty the bins and make the beds, the floors remained unswept or cleaned. The AI drinks came to a halt at 23.00, and you then had to purchase your own drinks, which we found a little early. We did get to meet some very nice people which helped to make the holiday very pleasant.

    Not wot i call 4star

    from anonymous

I have gone on many all inclusives, but generally in spain, i do not class this hotel as 4 star, maybe it got its rating on its looks (which are good) but not on wot it had to offer. The air conditioning does not work properly, this should be noticed by the fact that u can rent a fan by the week off the hotel. I didnt have a phone in my room, and the rooms where small and cramped more a 3 star style room. The rooms where cleaned daily but not like at other hotels the cleaner spends an average of 3 mins as opposed to alot longer at other hotels. Now im not a fussy eater but the food was bad it really was, the lack of meat was noticed i must say it really was terrible food, stayed at many 3 stars which have provided better food. If u have children they really wont do that well, and if u think u will get away with them living on the burgers that wont work cos they are home made, nice for adults but not for the children. The staff were very good and tried hard to do a good job.

Beautiful hotel, shame bout the food!

    from anonymous

The hotel is very nice but the food is NO WAY 4 * standard. bar staff, very friendly, but you are not allowed the air conditioning promised untill the middle of July to August and thats that! Our rep Nicola was really unhelpful and rude when we asked for her help. Only go if you have kids, don't go if you want a bit of peace!

    The reps are great

    from jackie69

Just got back from Soverign beach with our three kids. The hotel is very clean and all the staff do all they can to help. I will say though that the charge for Tennis and football after 2pm is a bit unfair as no-one was using the courts/pitch. Maybe in height of season its different. The food .....could be better in the main restaurant abit boring, although the pizza and burgers in the day were great. All in all we had a great time mainly thanx to the reps who really worked hard at making everyone join in and have fun. A special mention to Erin.....she realy made my holiday as she entertained my eldest son Matthew all week, cheers erin.
