Today we left after a very poor breakfast – this hotel was the least impressive so far! Except for the great hot spa! We drove south to a town called Aphrodisia – what another great surprise this place was. It is the only site that has only been discovered by Turkish excavators. NEXT: My all-day scooter trip to many great ruins, Santa Claus' home town, and more, followed by an hours-long fiasco and survival scenario, lost after dark atop somewhere atop 5000-foot mountains, imminently running out of gas...

... wasn't. Kalkan is a beautiful town and was actually where most of the Turkish boat crew lived. We had a look around the town and did a spot of shopping, picking up some turkish delight and 'Vans' shoes. Kev then decided to get a hair cut as there was a barber next door to the bar we were relaxing at. What an experience the haircut was. It started as a 'trim' but ended up lasting for almost an hour. The guy was absolutely meticulous and didn't want to miss any ...
