      ... some sights Ponte del Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, various back streets and again a little shopping. The florentine leather work is beautiful and the jewellery something else. I bought a few small things including some amazing soaps....oh the choices. The Uffizi was jammed after being shut the previous day, so we eyed the exterior and moved on, taking in the Musei Firenze instead which was a small discreet museum....some gorgeous sculptures, frescoes and architecture to be had :) ...

      ... the lean and narrow staircase made it quite tricky. It was worth the climb as the views were spectacular and they ring one of the bells which was incredibly loud whilst you are up there. I looked around to see where Wayne was whilst it was ringing and lo and behold Sir Captain Kodak has placed himself under the massive bell to get a photo of it striking. I just pretended to not be with him lol. We caught a taxi back to the station where we had a light lunch and just managed to catch ...

      ... spent some time in the Salone dell'Ottocento, an exhibit room filled with plaster busts and statues prepared by students for purposes of evaluation, or as models for later execution in marble.

      [NOTE: As was the case at the Uffizi gallery yesterday, photography is not allowed in the Accademia, so the photos used today are from other sources.]

      ... However, the house numbers only went up to 34. So we figured we missed it and we went around again. (All the streets are one way, so you literally have to start at the square and go around again!) After the third time...we went to find a WiFi connection in Florence.       ... amazing. Yes, more stairs and more stairs. Lots of hills. I spoke with an American woman for a bit and we took each others picture since we were both alone and tired of doing "self portraits." :) We both couldn't imagine how people in big gowns successfully negotiated all of the stairs, ascents and descents throughout the gardens. We decided they must have had lots of carriages or slaves to tote them around or something! I pretty much walked ...
