    • Staying away from social media: I have actually improved upon this since I've been in Italy, but it's still a problem. I'll have my moments where my thoughts and feelings are made painfully obvious, and it either causes unnecessary problems or no one cares. I have left the country two more times (Prague last weekend and Wales this weekend) since the Italy trip and I have not posted… It was also pointed put this week that we have less than 35 days left on this side of the pond.     ... whole bunch of men performing with red flags, waving and throwing them in routine. There were many different performers in costume, and were surrounded by crowds of people. After watching for a while, we decided to walk back to the apartment.

    ... the Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore church) which is stunning on the outside but almost austere on the inside compared to the church earlier in the day. What I thought was amazing was the beautiful patterned marble floors.
