        ... We had to walk down from the bus park to the coastal village and had a few minutes to look around before catching the train to Corniglia (village no.3). The train runs through tunnels just a bit above sea level so doesn't give you any real views. The trip took 3 minutes, more time than it took to get on the train. The challenge here is that you need to climb roughly 400 steps to get over the hill to get to the village of Corniglia from the station. Our reward ...

        ... couldn’t be a bad thing. Pasta water was used to thin the Ragu just a bit. Jeff and I have recently been making a new pasta dish at home (Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe) and the secret to that dish is the pasta water. We are learning it is key in making pasta dishes better.
