I don’t know why but I often think of the Volturi when I come to Florence. Probably because I believe the Medici inspired Stephanie Myer in some way-it does make sense.
Florence is as beautiful as ever and I can’t believe I will be living here soon for a couple of months. To be in a city that was once the heart of the Renaissance; I am so very lucky. :)

In the afternoon we had a rest and then went to see the Cathedral of Florence, Cathedral di Santa Maria del Fiore, the bell tower an the Baptistry. Rode train to florence. Rain continued to come down. ...

... attention….it has the Florentine Stema on it (fleur de lys with the additional stems) – the ring is 18K gold and beautiful. We had seen some yesterday with the ladies, but NOTHING like this. I spot a bracelet that is VERY shiny, and has a very unusual link. We buy both. The ring has to be sized, so because we’re here late in the day, the best time would be tomorrow any time after opening.

    Again…in power shopping ...

... did today was walk around and explore and shop ( of course). We shopped at a small market place that sold lots of leather goods and mainly tourists things. It's very pretty here but also kind of smelly. It's also very, very different then Rome. I like the people here more then I did in Rome because the seem a lot more nice and a lot less pushy. We also got to walk across the most ...
