From Falkirk we drove 4 hours to York to visit the National Railway Museum where there are trains on display from Stevenson's Rocket to the modern day Euro Star and the Japanese Bullet Train. After booking in to a B&B in York we walked to a local pub for dinner and then wandered to the York Cathedral. What an amazing church and so large. Spent the last two days in Cleethorpes/Grimsby where Grandma grew up before sailing to New Zealand when she was in her late teens.
So good to meet up with extended family and be looked after with a place to stay. Nice to put a face to the name as well as Grandma does like to talk about the past "Grimsby will always be her home".

This is my last night at home before I head out to Guatemala via Houston.
I'm too nervous to sleep and I'm enjoying my bedroom for the last time.
I am also finishing some last minute music downloads and playlist editing for my ipod. Setting off at 4:30 in the morning for London Heathrow. I will also be keeping a personal journal as well as an online blog.

One family were out for the day and mum was sitting in a chair with a coat on with the hood pulled up to keep her warm, while the kids played around her. At least you don't have to fight for space, there is heaps of room to spread out. The water is a grey colour and no such thing as surf, just flat as a tack. ...
