Home, safe and sound!

Europe 2015 was our longest adventure so far. We enjoyed all the places we visited and stayed and all the things we saw. We effectively met the challenges we faced along the way, but now that we are back, "there's no place like home". We were essentially on-the-go for 63 days without a true break. Granted we had some days that we crashed or just chilled, especially while at our villa in Marbella, but it still was in an unfamiliar environment where our degrees of freedom and range ...

After a quick ...

Aunt Jane had a great breakfast waiting for us when we woke up this morning. Caden of course finished first so she took him out to feed the birds from the dock. They have a great back yard that fills up with water at high tide and empties out at low tide. Caden loved exploring this interesting area which is nothing like we have near our home. We loaded up for the long drive home, with one more surprise in store for the boys. The past two years there has been a church from ...

... the most enjoyable visit to a park was our trip to the US Virgin Islands. This was in large part due to the fact that we had our whole family with us, including our one and only granddaughter Maggie. The tasty island rum 'pain killer' drinks may also have had something to do with it as well!.

  • Parks with the most wildlife were probably Denali and Katmai in Alaska. In Denali, we saw a couple of bears (from a long distance), several Dall sheep (up ...
