      ... meal. We headed back out again and walled around for a couple hours, for some reason we ended up going past the ladyboy bars at least 4 times (not me leading I may add!) Best way to avoid them is as follows:- 1. avoid eye contact 2. hold your arms close in, and 3. cover your nuts. Eventually we sat down to eat at about 2.30am and got back to the hotel around 3.30am, time for bed (used my sleeping bag liner and mozzy repellent and lit an incense stick in the hope of avoiding more ...

      ... a new apartment building opening up next week (its small and only has 7 rooms), and I'm not going to lie - I am pretty excited! I cannot wait to pack my backpack away for a little bit, and actually live out of drawers and a closet for a change. As much as I love backpacking so far, it is a bit too chaotic for my everyday life. Unfortunately though, because the building is new we will have to continue living in our hotel until the 15th.

      ... is relatively well mannered. There are even pedestrian crossing with stoplights….that hardly any of the vehicles stop for, you wait until you have the green walking signal and then run for it.

      Barb and I knew what to expect going in so we weren’t shocked or disturbed. Our hotel was decent, clean and well run and the people watching from the streetside restaurant was always entertaining. It took a day or so to track ...

      ... partying into the wee hours-stranded in Bang Saen. We walked back to the bar we had been at, hoping they would have some better news for us. We ended up finding a motorcycle taxi that called us a private car to take us back. The people who worked at the bar waited outside with us until it showed. Thai people are awesome.

      Today I was still feeling sleep-deprived from my late night adventures in Bang Saen (even with the car it was close to 4 when I got home) ...
