... we were over here for an extended period). We drop into Jimmy’s Bar to watch the football (and Steve is actually happy with the final results despite being a Manchester United fan!) We discover Nok has broken her toe at work and ends up being sent home for a few days rest! But mostly we spend the time with family, eating, drinking and chatting. We say our final goodbyes on the last night – it’s emotional, but we know we’ll ...

... freak me out in general, but some are much freakier than others. Plus, aquariums always make me feel claustrophobic because they’re all dark and tunnely.

The kids loved it though. For about 15 minutes. And then they loved the gift shop. They bought everything in sight. I’ll admit, the stuff was very cheap so it was tempting, but there was nothing good there. I just sat back and waited for all my students to come up and show me what ...

... to school at 7:30 every day and have a different class (either extension or remediation). I teach the extension English class every Tuesday morning. It’s really not bad, just a half hour to have some fun and challenge the kids. The problem is that the kids were selected as the top 15 overall in grade 4, so they’re not necessarily the top English students. I have several other higher-achieving English students ...
