... them were very fussy about which bits they ate. One of the elephants knocked Nikki off the rail she was sitting on with their nose!! After all this we met HaHa the baby elephant who is the first to be born in this resort. She was tiny compared to the adults and was literally trying to grab anything with her trunk. After searching for a likely breakfast spot we entered a greasy noodle place and ate fried eggs, lettuce and cucumber. Franki topped up her Thai cell phone with airtime at Seven Eleven and then we caught a tuk tuk to Kalet Taset 2 Bus Station for our bus to Khao Sok

There were no passengers for the 1040 so it was cancelled. We had to wait two hours. Franki made a new friend at the bus station who spoke halting English. Franki asked her about cell phone charges ...

After a great few days relaxing it's time to head back to Bangkok. We left the hotel at 12, catching some lunch next to the harbour. I had freshly caught chargrilled langoustine which was lovely and Jilly opted for tomato soup and garlic bread. We then boarded the ship for the hour crossing to catch a bus to the train station. ... Chilli Basil with Prawns, Veg Fried Rice followed by Banana Fritters) and a walk back to the hotel for an early night. The sleep on the boat was comfortable, but it was still midnight when we got to sleep and 06:30 when we approached the harbour - this holiday is supposed to include some rest! :-)

... how to spot a wild banana tree and countless wild orchids, how to find tarantula holes and cicada "houses". We saw lots of spiders and beautiful colorful jungle butterflies. I even caught sight of a quite bashful dusky languar- one of the monkey species found here.
