... terminal. We grabbed a McDonald's (still not that good, even when you crave it) and boarded our train to Changsha. While at the station, I visited the Ladies' Room. For all of you who have been to China, even though this train station was built 4 years ago, it has "squattty pottys." Luckily, I was prepared. But it still didn't go well, and I'll just leave it at that.

The trip to Changsha was by ...

Chapter 37 - Insects, Judges and Windows

After the chaos of the Hash run and all that brought, the rest of my proved to be a quiet month. A weird thing to write considering I live in a city which never seems to stay silent. Even in the middle of the night when the roads finally quieten down, the insects can make such a din, its enough to raise the dead.

Insects are a real pain in the proverbial rear end out here. No matter how much insect repellent I use, mosquitoes always seem to find a way to ...

Considering who I have met so far, Chinese girls have a habit of giggling and shy about the smallest of things, such as hand holding. This is partly because most girls in China follow traditional values and not being interested in the opposite sex until they are much older. A stark contrast from ...

One Christmas Day, I woke up to Oscar meowing in my ear wanting to be fed. It wasn't my sister jumping up and down shouting "It's Christmas, it's Christmas" but at least it was the rude awakening which I get every year. After lounging in bed catching up on various ...
