Spent a day playing at the beach, feeling very bohemian and wishing that we could surf (that will be a must learn on our next adventure!). The Pacific Ocean is not too warm at this time of year, but you can still enjoy the warm sunshine and the sand in your toes!

... house 50m from Mission Bay, and 100m from Mission Beach in San Diego. It was a great surprise to find that Rachel and Robert had left work early and arrived in SD at much the same time as us. We headed out for dinner and a good chin-wag before resting up for today's planned activity - a trip to SeaWorld. We woke up in the morning and enjoyed the pancake station. There were four different stoves ready to go with either pancake or crepe batter. We each had our fill of huge pancakes, packed up our belongings, and checked out. It was weird to be back on our bikes after such a long vacation. We started biking North with the plan to get to Oceanside, CA where we had a host set up.

... and we find ourselves talking to lots of people, all of them very interesting in hearing about our upcoming adventure.
We decide to drive inland that night, due to the cost of the hotels there on the ocean. So to end the day we drive both vehicles across a high, dark, mountain into Escondido, finally arriving at our hotel, happy that our day has been so wonderful.

Back at the beach we cruise ... well it's a cruiser and it's a beach, so it has got to be done hey?
We are also on the hunt for the beach bungalow house featured in Top Gun, located on South Pacific Street, a section of residential houses along the coastline. However what a disappointment ... the house now looking a bit sorry and forgotten about, stands alone on the corner of an empty stretch ...
