Michele still not too well and slept most of the morning. She felt a bit better in the afternoon so we took a shortish walk to the Marble Arch and Selfridges department store. This Edgware road area is now the new Beirout ? ************ Arabic face to be seen. Some nice old buildings ...

After a 7 hour flight from Toronto to Gatwick with only a couple hours sleep, I was too excited to be tired. I hopped off the plane, collected my luggage and found the terminal for the Gatwick Express. The train was no more than 25 minutes and was incredibly smooth. There's some places I've been and had the feeling "wow I'll probably never be here ever again" but not London. I'll return soon enough to this city and can't wait until I do. "So we sailed on to the sun, Till we found the sea of green, And we lived beneath the waves, In our yellow submarine." The ...

A lovely stay with lovely Aunty Mary. We were all jet lagged when we arrived after an overnight flight from Toronto, then a few hours to get through Heathrow and bus, tram to Gravel Hill station. Aunty Mary had rolled out the red carpet and dished up a fantastic Shepherds Pie dinner. After a big sleep in, we had an afternoon of shopping in Croydon to ...
