Eventually we were given a drink - for me it was orange juice and then a snack box containing, bizarrely, a bread roll, a small sachet of some sort of pickled cabbage and a piece of chiffon cake. We went to Hangzhou, China on a train that went 304 km/hr. from Shanghai. It was a super fast train.

In Hangzhou we went to a place called West Lake and rented bikes to ride around. There were a lot of people walking and riding bikes around the lake so we had to be careful..

Last night we walked to a very large and quite park on the edge of the lake. It is the most beautiful park I have ever seen. Lit paths lead in all directions around and over ponds and rivers so that the thousands of people can find their respective peace. individualized tai chi instruction in the dark was surreal.

... very delicious! At the start of the meal one of the waiters accidentally spilt a hot dish of food on one if Becky's friends. However, because of this incident we got discount on the meal! We were all absolutely stuffed, the meal itself was in a lovely restaurant and only cost £1.60 each! We left the restaurant quite late so before bed me and Becky snaffled some Chinese Galaxy chocolate 'Dove', not quite the same as Galaxy but good ...
