... in our lives should be universal, and even when things are tough most people have some things that they can be thankful for. (Kathy's note: Although almost everyone in the US would celebrate Thanksgiving, I often wonder WHO is thanked if people don't have a religious faith? As Christians the original Pilgrims intended this meal to be a time to acknowledge their gratitude to God for his provision and for their first harvest. Even in only nominally religious homes a prayer ...
... one craft kit later we all met up and said goodbye to the Holdens and the dojang. With a quick check of the AFLC Pastor's directory we located the home of longtime friends and ministry partners, the Bensons. ... the family were out-of-towners. My sis Jan (Andy's godmother) and her husband flew in from Simi Valley, California. Uncle Don, Andy's godfather drove up from Ocala, Florida. Andy's Aunts and Uncles and cousins drove up from Chicago. Most of the family made it, sorry everyone couldn't be there.
We couldn't of asked for a more beautiful day. The weather was perfect and everything went as planned with no problems.
