... and many of the stalls were still being set up, but I had a basic look around with a view to returning later. It was interesting to see prostitutes active in the middle of the day. Imagine them doing that at the Cobbitty Markets?

... br> Wednesday I finally went to see the horse races. The horse races are a very popular event here in Hong Kong, with two locations showing races every Wednesday. The biggest race track is Happy Valley, located on HK Island. The track is huge, and clearly shows off how rich the Hong Kong Jockey club is...!

Although many people visit the races to bet on horses, there's also a more relaxed area known as the beer garden. Here, live music is played in between ...

... waterfront we thought we may as well stay until it was dark to see the "Symphony under the Stars", a laser light show bounced off the buildings along Victoria Harbour. We found a German beer house, to have a drink or two and use the free Wifi ( the hotel we were staying in also did not have free wifi!!) The light show was 13 minutes long, so worth the wait! ... t really had the opportunity until HK. The market is small and very busy, with loads of small shops selling all manner of tech kit. We get the tablet for a decent price, then head back out to the Temple St. night market one final time, to get the last few bits and pieces we’ve seen but left until now, then we head back to our hotel – setting up the new tablet is going to take a few hours and we’ve got an excellent wifi connection here!

As we were driven to the airport, the skies darkened and by the time we reached the airport it was raining heavily.
We had been very fortunate to have had no rain until the evening of our departure.

Check in at Qantas was quick, and we soon cleared security and immigration.
Our flight departed on time and bade farewell to Hong Kong - again ...
