I start this blog from the departure lounge at Ningbo Lishe International Airport. You forget how big China is but when there are 5 times the number of checkin desks for internal flights compared to international flights you quickly remember. China's airport officials have the air of military enforcement with the occasional smile thrown in to just take the edge of it. Thankfully the signage is in both English and Chinese and their processes ...

... lived here for six months in 1992. I love the energy and confidence of the place.

I attach my first set of photos. This blog is more about them than what I write. As you will see, they wil be very varied. It feels strange, with all these amazing experiences going on it's so easy to forget about the fact that I'm actually supposed to study here...!

I had a dream that I was chatting with my unfinished love story and confessing my love. He didn't respond. He was stoic. He stood there like a wall. I didn't think my posting yesterday was so depressing, but when I woke up to messages from all my friends concerned about me I started to see it from the outside looking in. It ...

In Defense of the U.S. (for once)

... me or give me the opportunities I have. Maybe they would've made me a better, healthier, smarter person, but I'll never know. What I do know is that I owe it to my teachers, my parents, and my peers to try and improve the country we all live in. I hope I can live up to this post.

I'm aware that things I said in this post are my opinions, my experiences, and generalizations. Surprise! I have my own views. Comments are always appreciated, as are debates and opposing views.
