    ... This didn't surprise us as our travels last year taught us that Israelis travel everywhere. We walked into an Israeli hostel which also houses a kosher restaurant and a small synagogue. A couple days later we were back here celebrating Shabbat with about 60 Israeli tourists.     ... in various stages of decay. The thing I noticed the most was that all of the shops had wrought iron or some kind of metal security doors and windows as did some of the houses. The front yards of the houses were barren of flowers and trees for the most part and no lawns - just dirt.
