... people would go to Tunisia to eat pizza? We want some freaking cous-cous, for crying out loud!), everything was falling to pieces and vacationing there was hardly cheap.

I'm sure there's got to be something nice in Tunis, but the area of Sousse where we went to is an absolutely, positively, ghastly, God-forsaken corner of the Earth.
Sousse, Tunisia reservation... it was actually used as the set for the movie Gladiator. Turns out Tunisia is quite well used for movies as its also the back drop for the majority of the Star Wars films.

Our third city for the day was Monastir for a bit of shopping. As we were on day 4 of our trip we had already gotten quite used to the countries shopping practices where u have to barter for everything as there is something ridiculous like an 80 percent mark up on anything. I was so sick of having people ...
Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia lishinlondonTraveling to different cultures can give you a bit of a culture shock if you're not fully prepared for what’s awaiting you. And though it’s exciting to explore new countries, some local customs, habits and such can be good knowing beforehand. Therefore I’m writing this blog to shed some light on certain things that could be worth knowing before you go!

Tunisia is probably the most peaceful and safest African country ...
Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia mila_olive... restaurants. It was OK, I’m not terrible excited about it, but there wasn’t anything wrong with it either. We sat outside, so the passing traffic was a bit noisy, but it didn’t bother me much.

L’Olivé is another restaurant in the harbor, we went here both for lunch and dinner several times, the food was good and the staff nice, though it isn’t one of my favorites, I liked it, and we returned several times.

The Maisons des ...
Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia mila_oliveArriving home after a holiday always produces a bittersweet feeling in me, on one hand I'm sad to leave the places and people you get to know over your journey, and the trips never are long enough to experience everything you would like to. But on the other hand it is also a relief, especially after a long and tiresome trip ...
Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia mila_olive... that. More money than sense springs to mind! But I feel like it might be spoiling Tunisia a bit - I'm sure many Tunisian's are just very friendly, but from money to my phone number, quite often it felt like they always wanted something from you and any interchanges between you and them were just killing time until they asked for it. I don't know, maybe ...
Kairouan, Tunisia sianeth... allows a visitor to explore the premises of the great structure from seemingly any angle or level. A half-day sideline trip to the pleasant resort town of Monastir rounded off the whole proceedings nicely, and the conclusion was that a cross-section of yet another country had been satisfactorily condensed into a week-long stay, thus validating the whole idea of using a basic, cheap package deal as a means of seeing the sights on a more universal scale.
Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia jollyjetsetterAfter a good sleep in Sousse. After me and Emma have rested for a while we are going around and looking on that old town, going on old street in a area call Medina and suddenly we got a lot of people on us that want us to buy things. Hate that. After a while we are at the beach and relaxing, like most days we did that.
