... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

Well from the outside of city there is a breathtaking view of the upper town but once you are in it I woudn't say the same. Still there is plenty to see wandering around the streets and lots of lovely churches to explore. But it's definitely not the best medieval town in Italy.

First error so far in jumping on the wrong train and ending up in stazione 'rudo di arroganto' in Milan! ... when everyone booked today would not get to see The Last Supper and loose their money. We were able to take our time and gaze upon this 15century generally gothic church with white walls with geometric blue and red drawings in patterns, in drawn brickwork, and gold sunbursts in the centre of each arch.
