... 8217;t been the first getting off the boat. There was one tricky patch where there was a lot of water across the road and we had to go on the stepping stones to avoid getting wet feet. Luckily one of the Gstaff who was wearing rubber boots, came back and held my hand to allow me to keep my balance. Apart from that the walking was quite easy.

Secondly, lots of lovely ports on the second half of the med crossing. Went shopping in Barcelona and bought ...

Lazy day at sea today. We've crossed back over the Arctic Circle now and it's still cloudy so, sadly, I don't think we'll see the Aurora again on this trip. Still twice in one 14 day trip isn't bad. Heading off to cocktail tasting in a mo but thought you might like to see today's vegetable ...

... me to their fascinating way of life. The government sponsors their farms and compensates them for loss of herd due to avalanche or road traffic accident. All Sami are licensed reindeer owners and ALL reindeer are registered by name as soon as they are born. Each owner has their own personal mark cut into the ear of their own reindeer - there are over 3000 different marks in the ears of reindeer in Norway. There is severe punishment for stealing someone else's reindeer. ...
