PS last note from Katakolon... lovely town... lovely harbour... nice coffee... and nice beer as well.... a day well spent relaxing and chilling... now I'd better get my act together and head back to the ship before it leaves...

If you do this trip, you can consider you've seen about everything that was very important not to miss, and to save your other days for beaches, bar and cocktails.

Regarding ferries, the ticket is 8,2 Euro/person and 37,5 Euro/car, one way. The trip lasts about one hour. You cand take the feery every 1 1/2 - 2 hours. The last one is about 8 o'clock.

We made it all the way to the north side of the island where the blue caves are. From there, we took a little boat cruise that took us from the blue caves to a shipwreck site. The little boat had a partial glass bottom through which you could see the blue water. Isn't that funny? I love sun, heat, swimming-pool, seaside, but I got bored in such conditions on Zakynthos. I thought as if I was in a cage. Touristic zone, small Porta Koukla, near Laganas - was too small for the city dweller like me. One restaurant and two shops when I could pay with credit cards. Is it EU at all? With such a huge touristic demand and therfore experience they didn't think much of the facilities.

... gonna be mashed all week anyway. So here begins 'lads holiday' in Zante, cant really write much for all the days, because there was too much going on, basically a mash-up of booze, lad-fest, gyros, buoyment, northerns etc. But it was a good experience but dont think i will be rushing back there soon! After Zante, Me, Jacob and Newlan started our interrail journey and we didnt know what to expect!!
