A beautiful, clean and convenient hotel with spacious rooms just across the river, near some great restaurants. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful, organising tuk tuk drivers and providing advice. The breakfast was great too. And the lap pool and outdoor deck was a nice bonus!

I love this hotel for its focus on enabling the local people by giving proceeds of their profits to local charities. The hotel is kept in good condition and has all of the amenities you will need in your travels: free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, rooftop bar, sky jacuzzi, sun deck, bikes to rent, a spa, and enough guides and maps to read for ages.

We had a great night’s sleep and went down to the charming hotel restaurant for breakfast, still amazed we were in Siem Reap already! We enjoyed the fresh food and arranged a tuk tuk driver for the day to take us to the temples.

After stopping to buy a three-day pass, we drove past some of the sites and through a number of …

Like the tuk tuk driver, he also freely discussed the genocide period with us and shared a few of his haunting memories. During a conversation late in the day with our guide, we asked him about the corruption in the government. He responded by saying, "at least now, it is only with money and not with the lives of our people." Although most travellers visit Siem Reap ...

We walked back along the other terrace to wards the main steps where we again met our tuk-tuk driver. Our final stop was the temple of Phnom Bakheng where we had to walk 1km up a hill to the temples but we had a great view of all the other temples in the complex, including Angkor Wat. This is also a favourite place for a sunset so ...
