A beautiful, clean and convenient hotel with spacious rooms just across the river, near some great restaurants. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful, organising tuk tuk drivers and providing advice. The breakfast was great too. And the lap pool and outdoor deck was a nice bonus!

I love this hotel for its focus on enabling the local people by giving proceeds of their profits to local charities. The hotel is kept in good condition and has all of the amenities you will need in your travels: free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, rooftop bar, sky jacuzzi, sun deck, bikes to rent, a spa, and enough guides and maps to read for ages.

We had a great night’s sleep and went down to the charming hotel restaurant for breakfast, still amazed we were in Siem Reap already! We enjoyed the fresh food and arranged a tuk tuk driver for the day to take us to the temples.

After stopping to buy a three-day pass, we drove past some of the sites and through a number of …

We woke up early to have breakfast before our tuk tuk pickup. It was more omelettes and lots of tea and coffee. Our tuk tuk driver arrived early. While we carried on with our breakfast, he started to clean everyone else's plates. He must have worked there. The tuk tuk seats were so comfortable, we could have fallen asleep. It took us around 30 minutes to reach the first stop, Angkor Watt. The place was huge and full of other tourist. On the way ...

... I managed, on my first day out of three, to hit Angkor Wat itself, more a palace than a temple, I cycled to Bayon, to Takeo which is the oldest temple at around 1000 years, in fact it is also unfinished - with it being so tall it was often hit with lightening and so the king called off the finishing of the structure as it was believed to be bad luck. From Takeo I cycled to Ta Prohm which was my personal favourite - made famous by Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider it is a ...
