I arrived in Bordeaux, waited a while at a stop for a bus that never came, could’t be asked waiting almost another hour for another and laughed off a taxi driver’s estimate of 20 euros to get to my Couchsurfing host’s place - so I ended up walking and arrived at Steve’s just after midnight. Itīs been 4 months since my last blog...time for an update I say.



Manchester, Cardiff, Oxford and London...1 1/2 weeks, 4 stops, 2 lovely catch ups. Itīs so nice to see familiar faces when travelling alone and even though both visits were whirlwind, they were lots of fun. ... room snacks from a supermarket ,fruit, cheese, salmon etc. We then went to Bordeaux , where we found parking with difficulty. The centre is like any city, e.g. Oxford street. It had large buildings, parks, shopping centres ( like London ). We found an evening antique market in a park which was great but we never bought a thing! After a coffee we returned to the hotel but washed the car on the way. Diesel needed tomorrow but is about 1.29 euros per litre which is better than the ...
