... with plenty of people out enjoying the weather. The area where i am staying has a middle east culture, where there are a few bazaar's and markets. Makes for an interesting change.
No i did not go and visit some of the biggest wineries in Europe near Bordeaux, i dont have any interest in wine any more. Plus a lot of the Chateau's had retail outlets in the city.
What a great part of France, really nice polite people living in a great city.

... We saw the Garonne way back at Moissac, when we were walking by the canal, and it was the river beside Auvillar, but now it is enormous! And tonight, after calling back at the hotel to change and drop our purchases, we went out to a fantastic brasserie that Amr had read about and been recommended. Another quite long walk - Amr announced that we had walked 20 kms today round the city, so I guess our legs don't really know that we have finished our real ...

... was a huge and pleasant surprise to see one of these barges going up river as we pulled up to park. We then went further past the town and found the dock where the RoRo was unloading and reloading the empty jigs. What a stroke of luck. Then back to a huge shopping area - IKEA, Auchan and many others. Hugely tiring but very interesting ...
