Today we got up early for the slow drive to Italy. We packed up and then got in the car. On the way we stopped at a restaurant,on the side of the road. When we got there we went out for a walk. ... go to a bar and have some lethal gin and tonics then go to a few different pinxos bars. The best one was el Torino, great beef cheeks and suckling pig. We drink kalimexos which is red wine mixed with coke and is really good. The next day we wander around during the day as it is slightly too cold for the beach. ... moored up to just a stern line, ( piles were 40 metres apart). Were then told we could enter the lock at 1600, 1600 came and went and they said we could enter at 1700, at 1700 they let the water out of the lock, this woke us up! As we had fallen asleep.
Lots of water from the bow and only a sternline, a tiny dissaster occured which we managed to deal with !!

SO at last we had made it to the canal system next stop the med, what could go wrong?
