... all over the world, played guitar at 2:00am by the poolside singing all the songs we have in common from country to country... It was definitely a weekend to remember.. If you are one of those Australia guys that saved the day... I thank you again for such an awesome weekend and I cant wait to come to Australia and hang out!!
Lesson # 2: Always book your own Accommodations. Someone else's weekend getaway may not be what you had in mind.
Hey all, After Ko Pha-Ngan we decided to head south to the religious city of Nakhon Si Thammarat. This was more of a spontaneous decision as we were initially planning to head to Khao Sok National Park before realising that it was a little out of our budget (the Thais charge foreigners 200 baht (4 pounds) a day for just being in the park!). It turned out to be a good decision as Nakhon was great! The far south of Thailand is still relatively undiscovered by backpackers and ...
Nakorn Si Thammarat, Thailand cereal42After a week of living in Paradise it was very hard to make myself leave! Bottle Beach was absolutely amazing! But, Monday morning came and I made myself carry on, as there is so much more of Thailand to see. Yesterday was another crazy Thai travel day! It all started at 10am with a 'long tail' boat ride from Hat Khuat to Ban Chalok Lam, then from Ban Chalok Lam (the nearest place with a road) I got ...
Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand ashmacAs you may have noticed we're a bit out of synch with the islands now here but we are just exercising authors rights to write whichever order suits us. Perhaps we're less polite than the people of Nakhon Si Thammarat where the Thais perform their Wai at every opportunity especially our co-pilot on the way here. Only thing worth stopping for here was the Wat Mahatat museum and this only if you are ...
Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand sidom... hidden statues. It was so ... perfect for a wedding. Of course the weather is just perfect too - it was pretty hot, not a cloud in the sky. Anyway, the ceremony took place in the spa garden. This particular garden was hidden away towards the back of the hotel. We had to walk past large ponds with lillies in them, overshadowed by palm trees - it was just beautiful. In the garden, 45 bright white chairs with a flower behind each one. Paper ...
Koh Samui, Thailand chris.sandra08... that's when the battle began. Oh yeah, and when I was moving the house, I looked up to unhook it and I found a cat sleeping in the ceiling (we have an open ceiling with wooden slats so we get the sun shining through the skylight)....never did I think I would be showering with so many creatures. Where am I living? Anyways. The mosquitoes were super ****** at me, I destroyed their home. All day they attacked. I have never seen so many ...
Thung Song, Thailand blissmiss...
Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand redbaron_two... had a lay down and rest while Trina had yet another massage and then we headed to dinner. Giving Flame Tree another chance, I had a Snapper steamed with lemongrass fresh from the bins out front and although it was delicious, we had problems again with the bill! Trina and I sat on little mats on the beach with little lanterns over looking the water, while we licked yummy icecream. It was such a big day in the sun and surf and I was tired.
Krabi/Rai Leh Beach, Thailand raniroo... motorbikes and cars roaring down the middle. Lots of hungry customers, rats and cockroaches included. The first day there we walked around town to some of the main attractions. We went to a Buddhist temple which is the second largest in Thailand. Huge golden Buddha statues lined the walls, while people came in and knelt in front of many and prayed while holding incense sticks. In the museum, inside the temple, was a gigantic reclining Buddha (I was the ...
