... water. The boats on the lake are all electric to preserve the cleanliness and peacefulness of the area. At one point on the trip the guide gets his trumpet out, and plays a tune next to the cliffside called the Echowand, and depending on the weather the notes echo one or two times - all very funky ...

Enough of this wonderful tour. We returned to Mirabell gardens and had the obligatory photos taken and the back to the old town to have some sepia photos done. Such fun and just wait till you see then. After a short rest it was time for dinner, packing and setting up for another day of travelling tomorrow as we leave beautiful Salzburg behind!

... been to an opera in the heart of Vienna (in which I had to walk through a police barricade to get there [there was a fun little riot protesting the government]), toured the salt mines of Hallein, and have had countless accounts of history, culture, and a personal enlightenment.

... lake to go swimming in the crystal clear fresh water and to enjoy the sunny weather.
Our favourite lakes Fuschl See, Mondsee, Wolfgangsee are all nestled between higher mountains, which at times are covered in a light haze creating a special effect. We sit at the shore to have a drink taking in this incredible landscape.
