People of all ages were dressed up, some with colourful hats decorated with long feathers. Also, it was quite apparent that people of all ages were enjoying the beer at Oktoberfest as we saw several people stumbling onto the train. Once we reached the grounds we discovered Oktoberfest was very similar to the Calgary Stampede ...
Then onto Hitler's holiday house, Eagle Nest, high in the mountains. It was absolutely wonderful and the view was incredible. Hitler didn't actually like the place much so there wasn't heaps of history but the 360 views were amazing and I did a little exploring in the rocks. Not too cold as I was still in shorts, but very pleasant.

Our favourite lakes Fuschl See, Mondsee, Wolfgangsee are all nestled between higher mountains, which at times are covered in a light haze creating a special effect. We sit at the shore to have a drink taking in this incredible landscape.
