tzatsiki, corfu olives, feta in olive oil, taramasalata, moussaka and finished
off with traditional greek yoghurt with honey and walnuts. When I get home I
will be testing out my new Greek cooking skill.
We have a day on board the ship tomorrow as we are now cruising towards Turkey.
I have to admit... I was DREADING fhe sailing portion of the trip, but it has been AWESOME!! We stopped over at a waterpark/bar which had a great pool and some water slides - the toilet, however, was FERAL!! The door didn't lock, the window was a hole in the wall and anyone could look in!! I have to tell you that, in Greece, you are not allowed to flush anything that hasn't come out of your body, meaning that when you 'wipe' ...

Today's port is Kerkira in Corfu which is the second largest of the Greek islands in the Ionian Sea. The ship docked about 2.5 kilometres from the old town so we hopped into a taxi as it was a bit hot to walk the distance. It is a beautiful town with narrow streets and alleyways and lots of shops - especially clothes shops - which gave The Management plenty of places to visit. Of course, she found some clothes to buy while AJG sat outside and people-watched ...
... return to the ship. Once there we had an hour to recuperate before meeting in the Culinary Center for our hands-on session. I have no idea what the names of the dishes were that we prepared, but you can be sure that they included feta cheese, zucchini, onions, olive oil, tomatoes, oregano, eggplant, and Greek yogurt!
I MIGHT try the recipe for tzatziki (the creamy yogurt and cucumber spread that I like on Gyros) sometime in the future, but no ...
