... Spanish is by far the more prominent. At one time Catalan
was banned. Now there is a group which
wants an independent Catalonia, and there is a referendum vote for independence
which will take place in November. There are lots of independent Catalonian yellow
and red striped flags hanging on balconies and displayed in windows throughout
the city. Time will tell how the referendum works out. I wonder if they have looked at Quebec ...

3 Challenges to Overcome

The challenges to overcome today included:

1. Sorting out the customs problem and locating my package successfully.

2. Figuring Out Whether renting a car from a local hotel is a better deal than from the airport and making the reservation.

3. Downloading the maps of Spain/Europe onto the GPS I purchased near LAX before leaving for Spain.

... saw the inside. It was absolutely incredible. Although I wasn’t a huge fan
of the outside, the inside was so stunning. The ceilings were so high and had a
quality that is so unique to the cathedral. I was so thankful we got to
experience it, and it proved to be one of my favorite parts of our trip. The park was the perfect cherry on the cake
