We later found out at 3pm that they carry a dingy up the river and put in the water opposite the feeding centre. Then there is a price of thick rope tied either end of the river and they attach it to the dingy and send about 4-5 people over at a time. haha! It was so funny! We had to register at the national park office, he didn't write anything in a book though or give us a permit letter so we ...

... hike hadn't even begun. The air was still thick with the moisture of the rain and made our climbs into the national park a rude awakening to what we had all signed up for. There were 5 others in my group. Eric and Mary from France. Yvonna and Mark from Holland and Yvonne from Lithuania. And then there was our guide Jonny and his scout (nameless).

We had a really good group and everyone was keen on hiking long and hard to find our furry friends. After our first ...

... and then after lunch we wondered around the different farms and people's gardens, checking their cabbages and spring onion plantations. Options are limited in such a small place. The next day we rose at 3am to watch the sunrise over mount Bromo from a different view point (gunung Penanjakan). It was promising at the start as the lights of the village were becoming smaller and smaller. It ...
