      It took 12 hours to travel from Yogyakarta to Bromo by mini van. A long day. We arrived at the foot of the national park in a village called Cemoro Lawang, where there was really not much. The same guys all invited me swimming the next night, they built a fire on the rocks of the river and all dived in for their 'bath'... the soap up and scub away then dive in to wash it off, they have fun and pretty much are all just wearing their underpants. We then got in a series of tied together doughnuts and rafted down the river back to Sibayak whilst singing the 'business song' which to the tune of jingle bells goes: jungle trek, jungle trek in bukit lawang, see the monkeys see the birds see orangutan hey! This was all great fun and the river was busy with locals swimming who would wave at us.
