... the first 45 minutes. At this point we’d gotten out of the big trees and had reached the point where the trails diverged. Lightning storms were still circling around the mountain, but right below we had a marvelous view of the sea of lights that was Bali.

The climb up was pretty uneventful, and was made somewhat more difficult due to the fact that we were both exhausted from lack of sleep. It made it easier being dark, as we couldn’t ...

... We did not stay long as I knew we were suppose to pay to enter the park so I hatched up loads of plans to get out of it on the way up but the guard who had appeared at the top said nothing. ... about there being plenty! We were given kilogram bags of passion fruit, lychees, mandarins and bananas and they were delicious! After our quick break we headed off to another spot to see some more orang utans. We saw a big make peacock on the way which was very noisy! And we were even more lucky than this mornings spotting. We had a lethal climb down again but there were 6 of them hanging in the trees, one was even throwing sticks down at us! Towards the end of us watching them, one ...

Stuck in the jungle Baby... yep that's me. Bukit Lawang has been incredible not only for the jungle and orangutans... the people, the villages, the cultures, the scenery, the mountains, the rivers, the flowers and fruits, the many animals, there's so much to see, do and get involved in that I've found myself staying much longer than I anticipated but it's all part of the adventure.

I love being involved in local culture and love ...
