The final descent to camp was the hardest downhill stretch we had done, scrambling backwards for almost an hour, it was such a relief when we arrived. We jumped straight into the ice cold river it was so refreshing! We showered in the river and then enjoyed tea and biscuits before a yummy dinner of marinated chicken, veg curry, tofu and tomatoes and rice. We were so impressed with ...

... was setting and thankfully that meant the van’s temperature was slightly more bearable. We drove for hours until we eventually reached their office in Probolinggo at 11:30pm. We’d both fallen asleep by the time we pulled up, so after being awaken by the driver we dragged ourselves off the bus and into the office where a round man with no neck and a squeaky voice and his boss with a glass eye told us we were now changing to another mini bus which would take us up ...
