... Stopped by the police in one of the villages .. On arrival I decided to do a visit by boat to the local floating fishing village and farm and also visit a local Cham village. ... we really should do something so we took out a kayak. For 5$ an hour, it is not the latest model but does float. We set out aiming for the jungle that comes down to the waters edge on the other side of the bay. Our departure managed to coincide with the arrival of the 4pm ferry, not a good idea. The hotel we had booked was really nice with very helpful staff. A beautiful roof top terrace over looking the city. No time to explore the town however. The next morning was our boat transfer into Cambodia via the Mekong. We had to meet with a staff member of the boat company who gave us Cambodian visa applications and forms to fill we go! I saw that the table we had previously sat at, seemed to have already been taken as the serviettes were laid down and drinks had been poured. That was OK.
