... flavour.
We walked towards the town center to see the old town on the tidal river. Due to the bad weather
the water was a sandy muddy colour, not very pretty compared to the town. The town has a old rural French feel to it, the town largely escaped alot of bombing in the wars, so the buildings here are up to 200 years old, run down and green with moss and damp but they look amazing. the buildings in Hoi an playing a huge part of the charm of this small town. All along the river ...
This as our briefest Vietnam stop. We came here in search of surf and China beach, 'one of South East Asia's finest beaches'. Instead we found torrential rain!
We had a gross hotel room, where the sheets were dirty (and returning after we'd checked out we found they still hadn't been changed) but the mango lassies ...
... again miles away from our destination we were convinced the hotel were plotting our down fall as Nathan couldn’t actually put his bag on his shoulders due to his sunburn! We eventually persuaded the driver to take us into the centre with the help of 2 randoms on the side of the road who along with the driver spoke no English and even some unidentified person on a phone who spoke a little English but there was a lot of gesturing and drawing involved to actually get us where we ...
Hoi An, Vietnam ciaradoonerush... as well as English. He works at a new resort that just opened up towards Hoi An. We all decided to take a taxi out there for a Dance party we heard was going down. DJ Aldo was there, rippin' it on the turn tables while we just danced the night away. I had soo soo much fun. Not to mention the resort itself was rediculious. I probably will never be in a place like that again. Man alive, real high society. It was the ...

I was in so so much pain. I can't even tell you. I got my own room though with an alright bed, but spent a lot of the night trying to poop into a shot glass sized container to give them a culture sample! Ya that works well when you have Diharea! (I can't spell). I eventually got the ...

The ticket isn't very straight forward, and we have to chose 1 of 4 options, there being 4 options in different parts of town - and all being on the map on the walking tour. Was a wee bit confusing but we saw what we wanted to in the end and it was pretty nice.
I should note that here my camera started to flip out - due to a Cambodian camera virus - and my photos disappeared! It's all fixed now, and I ...
... size rice flour thingies stuffed with mung bean wrapped in leaves. It was 1000dong each. I bought five and ate them as I strolled. So much for being too full to eat. After that I was really stuffed. I gotta get more of that tomorrow.
My leisurely stroll took me past many lantern shops - my weakness. I don’t so much like clothes, but lanterns and Buddhist objects, I go crazy for. I couldn’t resist and picked up two more to add to ...

It was fun though to have all the Vietnamese staring at you because your lifitin their body weight, ahaha. It was great though, I might go back and get a membership there. We will see. They don't have AC, so you sweat your butt off, and you gotta know that your sharring sweat with half the guys in there.......uhhh. ahah ...

Da Nang, Vietnam aggi... me; he had fought against the Vietcong back in the 60's and claimed he had not talked to an American since then, so one can only imagine his excitement. He was stationed at China Beach which was an American stronghold during the Vietnam war and specialized in communications with American allies. Towards the end of dinner, I mentioned that I was going to see the Filipinos play, but needed a ride. One of the family friends, a motorbike driver ...
