Well we started our day in the Tuscan countryside at a campsite which contiki use as their base camp. Helmets on and training for the drivers, all looked ok drivers take off for lessons. 5 mins later Jill comes back on trainers bike with injury to her foot, she hit brakes too hard and then bike fell with her on it, 10 mins later Rachel comes back some lady hit a post and Rachel tried to avoid fell and grazed her wrist and elbow. ... Car to pick up our rental and make my way back to the short term parking, in order to pick Gobind up. The five minute drive from the car rental to the airport was one of the most harrowing I have had as it was rush hour by then and I had to traverse around 4 lanes of traffic, a roundabout and get in the far right lane, while the Italians were driving, as usual, like bats out of hell, plus there was a major accident blocking the center lane.

... on our way. Surprisingly, Giaccomo is quite responsive as we cruise some 20 miles south through the hills of Tuscany toward the town of Greve in Chianti. Our first stop is near a terra cotta factory where we are blessed with a magnificent view of the countryside. To showcase the view, the owner of the factory has erected a gigantic circular portal made of terra cotta through which one can enjoy a "framed" overlook of the Tuscan hills.

This trip was one of the last highlights of the trip. Sitting in our rented apartment in Firenze we were talking what should we do this day - go to warm steamed baths, rent Vespa and go to mountains, go Siena.. one thousand ideas, but on the way to the center to look what we can do we just got a sign - renting scooters!
