Lachung is a small village in North Sikkim, situated 125 km away from Gangtok. We went to Lachung from Lachen crossing Chungthang on the way. A 2 hour ride took us there. At 8900 ft, the landscape is outrageously beautiful just like the rest of Sikkim but the best part is the rural feel! This is rural Sikkim, untouched and pure! The view from our balcony was to die for! The green mountains with a huge waterfall right in front of our eyes, half of it covered in clouds. ...

It took about 3 hrs for us to reach zero point. You could see snow capped mountains all around you and if you are feeling adventurous, you can climb them. You can get snow boots on rent.
