... in some rough seas. I was at the helm and she was cleaning up the lines at the base of the mast. We were in about 6 foot seas and all of a sudden I saw that her feet were where her head used to be. Scary. Lots of bruises but she was OK. We had a real mix of winds and weather on the way. Generally a wind from 90 degrees off the starboard side anywhere from 8 to 24 knots. The first day the seas were calm so we motored the whole way. ... temperature drops and it darkens and the town and all the people wake up and come to life.
We wait till the cool of the evening to indulge in our decadent massages or facials. The choices are endless and we are working through them. At about $15 an hour it is well worth it and no wonder we sleep so well.

... was stacked up. We drove back to try and get a photo but scared it off so didn't manage to get one. It was about 3 foot long though, crazy. The bars & restaurants in Ko Lanta all spill out on to the beach on an evening, with colourful lights that you can see for miles. The rest of our time was spent relaxing at the sister hotels pool and a quirky little beach bar that we found on the first night. I think we spent more time drunk in Ko Lanta than anything else!
