      Day 22 - Friday, 26th September, 2014

We had decided on Thursday night that we were going to have a lazy day today. The hotel was arguably the best we had stayed at and it was cheap. So we booked in for another night.

We got up to the best inclusive breakfast of the trip so far, some of it being English style although there were no beans and after this went for ...

      Day 21 - Thursday, 25th September, 2014

We left Perpignan and started riding due west into the Pyrenees Mountains. Our destination was Andorra.

We soon started to make height. The roads were great motorcycling roads, generally good road surfaces, long sweeping left and right bends. There was a nice view around every corner.

We catch the train into Les Rambles and then walk 5 minutes to our accommodation. Unfortunately we are left standing outside for ...

... we go down the hill to Andorra Le Vella, the main settlement with a population of over 20,000 and which is only 1000m above sea level. We have lunch and do some shopping, I get a couple of ties and we both get our haircuts. Despite the very prosperous look of Andorra, it apparently has few taxes, so things are a little cheaper. Very few of the shopkeepers know any English, with the main languages being Catalan and Spanish, followed by French. English is a very poor fourth. ...

Day Twelve (life on a hairpin)

... We spotted and paused at the site of a crumbling tower located high along this climb and took a rough track to gain a closer view of the remnants of a 13th century fortress. The outer walls were in their original places thought shortened after the years. An inner grid of equally shorter stone walls completed the scene and provided some insight to the original layout though we were unable to conjure any image of the sort of life the inhabitants would have had. This is a wildly ...
