Singapore can go sling...

... picks up a book -. NO BOARD GAMES (again at a cafe, the dangers of connect 4...) and my personal favourite

So on day 3 we escaped the city and headed to Sentosa Island, weather was cooler and the people were smiley but in a weird Disney "have a nice day" kinda way. Headed to the butterfly park and no sooner had we stepped in the place, a flock of parrots descend on us and you ...

More Sights

Well, Wednesday saw us have brekky at Starbucks again, only because of the coffee! – the food halls have lots of Asian stuff which would be good to try but they don't do coffee!

Afterwards we booked a Night Safari at the Zoo for tomorrow night and then caught the bus down to Clarke Quay to take a river cruise. The Quay is full of bars and restaurants and we decided we might go back later for dinner. They even have a ...

Two Cities, a Beach & Loudspeaker Mosques at 5am!

... Muslim prayers! The best of which being that the Mosque was just behind our Guesthouse.

Well after a good couple of chill out days on the beach it was back on the road again as we got the ferry back to the mainland to get the overnight train down to Kuala Lumpur. Now that we were back in civilisation the trains should run smoothly once again right? Wrong! Everything went like clockwork and we boarded the train & departed on time but that was the only thing that went right on ...

Singapore – Western Creature with Peranakan

Morning flight to Singapore was trouble free, except for an extra fee I had to pay at Indonesian immigration - I lost my departure card I was given upon my arrival so had to buy another one for $20. Changi airport's for long been voted the best airport in the world. Honestly, I didn't have a chance to get to know it much as everything went very smoothly and it was probably my fastest customs/immigration procedure. Getting to the hostel wasn't difficult, airport is ...

First Stop

Hi Everyone
Finally made it this far - very warm - nothing like the temps we left at home.
Got a wonderful welcome from Mike - he was there at the airport to meet us and just as well - it is a huge airport but so efficient and well run.
He has a lovely apartment here - in a village type environment so no hassles with traffic. In fact no hassles at all - had a very quiet slow day today to recover - these long haul flights are ...

Saturday and Sunday where moving days, we started off a little late, with the owners not being ready on time but other then that the days went well without any gliches!! The movers were there on time and we just had to wait a little while. We are all moved in. Now I just need to Sort!!, where stuff goes. It's a very happy day!!!

Spotless Singapore; So Long Asia

... of this blog in three months! It is because of you that we're now in possession of this best kind of souvenir, one that money can't possibly buy! 5. To dad and Aunt Janet for providing us with the notebooks to write these posts in. Their pages are now sufficiently scribbled upon! 6. And lastly, to Jessie, for always sticking by me, even though I was apt to whinge too much! You are, undoubtedly, the best twin ev**! XOXO Kasey kid (a.k.a.
