We slept in, undisturbed by light or noise and woke refreshed and ready for our first day in Doha. We went outside in the early afternoon and wandered around the nearly deserted Souk. It is Ramadan so there is very little activity during the day. After sunset was a different story.

ROOM: Our deluxe room #602 was gorgeous, well equipped, pleasantly spacious and spotless. The tiny balcony offered spectacular views of the beautiful gardens and the turquoise waters of the Gulf. I remember how I would wake up to the sight sunrise every morning to take photos.
