It was the Assemblee General de l'Office de Tourisme des Vallees de St Beat this evening but unfortunately we couldn't go because we have a chalet-full of guests. Have to look on the blog to see what was discussed.

I made mushroom curry - we haven't had that in at least 6 months - delicious.

It is that time of year again too when the deer start to mate (well I hope they do because I dont think we can stand two weeks of the roaring until they get their wicked way with the females). Never heard anything so desperate or so loud (if I was a female I would mate with them just to shut the buggers up).

Looked out of the window and realised how lucky I am to live in the middle of these mountains. The Pic du Gar is absolutely clear today, the ski is deep blue with no clouds and the temperature is around 27 degrees.
Looking at the mountains though, the trees are just starting to turn orange (well some of them) so we know autumn is around the corner breathing down on the countryside.

Another lovely week in French Pyrennes with Jane, Ian & Jasmine, but this time with the new baby Kieran as well. Lovely to meet him, but sad that we wont be seeing him & everyone for a long time as moving back to Oz.
