    ... a place to stay and ended up in St. Émilion, what a town, it is just beautiful and old, 8-12th C old monastry old! After a look around we had a drink in the sunshine then returned to our hotel to change for dinner.     ... I soon learnt to look down when exiting the women's :-) Spent most of the day at different areas around the Sanctuary. It really is Disneyland for the religious. So many ancient beautiful buildings to look at. Lourdes is such a pretty town that I don't want to leave tomorrow :-( Dinner for just Miss and I tonight - Kevin all tuckered out and asleep already. We won't be far behind him. ......Miss and I NEED to stop eating ...

    ... a walk down to see the pilgrimage to the Grotte where people were filling there bottles with the water and being blessed. There were many souvenir shops all a bit much
    At 9pm there is a massive gathering of 1000's that come here lookin for a miracle they march around singing ?
    We cross into Spain tomorrow for a bit warmer weather as this the mountains Pyrenees

    Up early and away on our journey to Spain. No spectacular things to stop for, especially as there was quite extensive sea fog early on. Made more strange as it was very windy. Ran out of that as we were part way across the Pyrenees. Interesting trip though, lots of little Spanish villages, very picturesque, basque, Castilian. Plenty of tunnels of varying lengths.     ... absorb as much as possible from the site. The two basilica sitting on the grotto are wonderful and in every possible place there was a mass happening it seems. There is an amazing underground modern chapel which seats 10,000. At 5 there was a procession before the service of 'Benediction'. there would have been two thousand in the procession which contained a lot of folk in wheelchairs as well as those on foot.
