    We returned to the hotel for lunch outside on a terrace overlooking the pool and marina. There was a choice of shrimp cocktail, marlin tacos or a cheeseburger with a soft drink.     ... interesting development as you can see from some of the pictures. The bungalows and suites are very interesting buildings and with some long term seasonal tenants (ie 19 years). It is a very popular location on the beach with very handy walking access to the downtown and amenities.     ... distinctive architectural character is protected. Today the population is about 13,000. The town has lots of charm.

    After Alamos we drove to where we are now, San Carlos. It was our first and is our last camping spot in Mexico. We watched about 4 big rigs head out of the campground this morning, and it looks like we will be joining them tomorrow, sad but true.

    ... We arrived in San Carlos and immediately found a beach. We got in our suits and jumped in! Within minutes we made friends with the locals.
