    On Friday, we traveled by train and walked in the rain.

    Even precipitation is lovely in Italy.

    At the train station, I discovered a vending machine that provided espresso in a tiny plastic cup. It was perfect. Espresso this good shouldn't come from vending machines. Frankly, espresso of any kind shouldn't come from vending machines. Heaven, I'm sure, will be lined ...

    ... had a week of relaxation, and thankfully, we managed to get a couple of days with great weather – one day was a great walk from the main village which was located at the highest inland point on the island down to the coast, and the second nice day, we hired a car and drove around the island.     ... enjoying stunning views and absurdly cheap wine. After a couple of hours, we had no real choice but to find the bus stop and return to the hotel where we had the best meal of the holiday. Our only real mistake was that we should have taken the bike up to the town so we could come back when we were ready. We went to bed with another country crossed off the list and another micro-state to visit the next day.
